Last night, The Philosopher asked me, "How do you experience memory? Is it images, or what?"
No. At rest, my mind is text- and concept-oriented, not visual (that's why I thought mathematics would work for me when I was at University). Memory for me, has to do with the sensation of pattern, as though my world concept were a partially solved jigsaw puzzle. The part that's solved is of moderate interest, the unsolved pieces are practically invisible, but the edges, ah the edges! That's where I live.
So, I can't really re-create what exactly happened, exactly, during those lost days. But more pieces are set into the puzzle, and now the profile of the edges looks entirely different.
